According to Article 6, paragraph (c) of the "Regulations on Distance Education in Higher Education Institutions," up to 30% of the courses offered in traditional face-to-face education can be delivered through distance education. Furthermore, with the Senate decision dated 08.06.2018, number 2018.16.101, Iğdır University has decided to conduct the courses "Atatürk's Principles and History of Revolution I and II," "Foreign Language (English) I and II," and "Turkish Language I and II" via distance education.

Moreover, delivering these courses through distance education brings the following advantages.

- Increased experience in the use of information and communication technologies,
- Providing students with flexibility in terms of time and location,
- Ensuring standardization in education, assessment, and evaluation processes,
- Efficient utilization of resources (e.g., classrooms, etc.),

1. You can access lecture notes, assignments, videos, and other activities through the Learning Management System (LMS).
2. You can communicate with course instructors via written/audio-visual means during live class hours over the internet.
3. Exams (midterm, final, and make-up) will be held centrally in face-to-face sessions.

You can contact your course instructor by using the "Chat" option in the communication tools section at  http://lms.igdir.edu.tr/ adresinden iletişim araçları sekmesini kullanarak "mesaj" ile iletişime geçebilirsiniz.

There is no mandatory attendance for live classes. However, students are required to complete all assignments and activities provided through the system.

If you cannot remember your password, you can use the "Forgot your password?" feature on the page https://lms.igdir.edu.tr 

Note: To reset your password, an active email address must be registered in the system. If your email is not registered, you can request a password reset by emailing uzmer@igdir.edu.tr .


After logging into the LMS, you can access the weekly course materials and activities uploaded to the system for the relevant course.


The live class times will be held according to the days and times of the common courses determined in the course schedules of the faculty/schools to which you are affiliated. This schedule can be accessed through the UZMER website.


You can use the browser on your mobile device (Chrome, Safari, etc.) to participate in live classes or watch recorded videos of the lessons.


- Students will learn the exam dates and the examination halls they are assigned to from the faculty/school they are registered with or from the UZMER website.
- Exam applications will be held in the classrooms of the relevant faculty/school, under face-to-face supervision.
- Multiple-choice questions will be asked during the exams, and results will be evaluated through optical forms.
- Central exam results will be announced via the OBS (Student Information System).


- In the case of an online exam, any objections to the exam results should be directed to the course instructor.
- Objections to centrally held face-to-face exams should be submitted to UZMER via a petition. The optical form of the contested exam will be re-examined, and the outcome of the review will be officially communicated to the unit where the student is registered.


You are required to submit your excuse petition along with the supporting document to the faculty/school where you are registered. Excuse petitions can only be submitted for midterm and resit exams.
